Refunds
Last updated 20 August 2026
The short version: every product has a free live demo, so try it before you buy. Once files have been released to you the sale is final, except where the law says otherwise, and where it does we honour it without argument.
Try it first. Genuinely.
Every product on this site has a real, deployed, clickable demo. Not a video and not a screenshot gallery. Open it, resize it, click into the empty states, view the source of the rendered page. It costs nothing and it is the entire reason our refund rate is low enough to keep prices where they are.
If something about a product is unclear before you buy, ask. We answer within one business day and we will tell you honestly if a product is wrong for what you are doing. Talking you out of the wrong purchase is cheaper for both of us than refunding it afterwards.
Why digital downloads are final
The moment a licence key is issued and a file is downloaded, you have the complete product. There is nothing to return and no way to un-see source code. That is why, at checkout, you are asked to confirm this specifically:
“I ask for my download to be made available immediately. I understand that once the download begins I lose my right to cancel within 14 days, and that the order becomes non-refundable.”
That confirmation is not buried in these terms. It is an unticked box on the checkout page that you have to tick yourself, and the exact wording shown to you is recorded against your order along with the time you agreed to it. Your confirmation email repeats it.
Your statutory rights, which we do not try to remove
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with equivalent rules, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once supply begins, provided you gave prior express consent and acknowledged the loss of the right. The checkout confirmation above is exactly that.
Some rights cannot be waived by any agreement, including rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Those continue to apply and nothing on this page limits them. If a product does not do what its page says it does, that is our problem to fix or refund, and the consent box has no bearing on it.
You can submit a cancellation request electronically at any time using our cancellation form. We acknowledge every one and respond within one business day.
When we refund anyway
Policy aside, we would rather have a fair reputation than an extra hundred dollars. We refund, usually without much discussion, when:
- A product is materially not as described on its page, and we cannot fix it quickly.
- You were charged twice for the same thing, or charged for something you did not order.
- The files were never delivered and we cannot get them to you.
- You bought the wrong licence level and have not yet downloaded. We will usually swap it rather than refund, which is faster for you.
We will not refund because a product was bought and then not used, or because a project was cancelled, or because a licence was bought at a higher level than turned out to be necessary after the files were downloaded.
How to ask
Email us with your order reference. There is no form to fill in and no approval queue. Refunds, where they are due, are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record and typically appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
Please talk to us before your bank
If something has gone wrong, a message to us fixes it faster than a chargeback. A chargeback takes months, costs us a fee whether or not it succeeds, and it cannot be withdrawn once filed even if we then refund you directly. We have never refused to speak to somebody with a genuine problem.
For clarity, and because it matters if a dispute ever does happen: we keep a record of when each licence key was issued, when each file was downloaded and from where, and the exact consent text you agreed to. That record exists to answer a bank's questions accurately, in either direction.
Chargebacks and access
If a chargeback is filed, the licences on that order are suspended while it is resolved, and reinstated permanently if the payment stands. We do not blacklist anyone for filing one.
